Truly dramatic and rare splendid statement Elizabethan Tudor Medieval style festive frock by Laura Ashley from the 80s-90s in immaculate condition! Beautiful dark wine aubergine plum purple colour sumptuous velvet makes this dress a true necessity for Autumn-Winter holiday party season! The design which creates a long slender figure, feminine and mysterious in silhouette. Bodice is fitted, nipped in at waist with flow-through design. Side only slanted darts determine the waist followed by the panelled full circle sweeping skirt which falls with an abundance of soft folds down to ankle/full-length and to original hem - depending on your height. The deep neckline, with a hint of sweetheart, as well as a triangle cut back, is in keeping with the sheer understated elegance of this gown. A long, smooth rear zip fastens the dress. Is fully lined in matching plum silky fabric. Extremely high quality dress. Has nice weight to it! The dress displays the vintage Laura Ashley label - made in Hungary.
